Summer Clubs

Ft. Wright hosted summer clubs in June 2022 organized by our Family Resource Youth Services Center (FRYSC).  Students participated in their choice of clubs ranging from Olympic Club, Technology/PLTW Club, Journalism Club, Book/Film Club, Game/Building Club, Science/Engirneering Club, or Drama Club.  Each club focused on reading and math as well as an intense focus on their various content areas.

There were weekly visits from the Kenton County Public Library.  We thank them for their continued support of our students, faculty, and overall celebration of reading.

Other special guests during summer clubs included the Ft. Wright Police and Fire Departments, the AirEvac Lifeteam, the Boone Co. Arboreteum, the Pet Partners of America, and Kona Ice.

The Journalism Club published a summer newspaper which can be found here:  The Falcontastic Newspaper.

The Kenton County Student Nutrition program has been able to provide free meals to all students through federal waivers for the past two years. The waivers have now expired and the district must return to our normal school lunch program that offers students free, reduced, and paid meals. This is not a local decision and the expiration of the federal waivers affects schools across the country. The district will resume free, reduced, and full paid meals on August 17th, 2022.
